

Dr. Sujata Prasad, President of CAPI
Professional Background
Dr. Sujata Prasad is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a dedicated council member of the Connecticut Chapter. She serves on the Physician Wellness Committee and is a board member for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. Currently, she is a volunteer Assistant Professor at the Yale School of Medicine.
Commitment to CAPI & Community
A member since CAPI’s inception in 1990, Dr. Prasad has been a driving force for education, advocacy, and mentorship. Her philanthropic impact ranges from supporting shelters and the Haven Free Clinic to humanitarian efforts in India. A recipient of the George Thornton Award for excellence in teaching, she brings a holistic approach to medicine, integrating allopathic practice with wellness. Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys hiking, swimming, and poetry.
